I wondered how our inspirational environment influences our design decisions in the design process.

An exploration of design processes.
In creative design processes, inspiration is a central driving force. Starting from a brief, I draw on a personal pool of references: E experiences, conversations, photos, sensory impressions, perceptions of places and people, and artifacts from design, art, and other disciplines. Some sources are already close to the form of a designed artefact, others require much stronger abstraction. Some are clearly tied to a specific context, others exist in seemingly endless abundance on digital platforms. What happens to the outcome when you deliberately rely on certain sources and exclude others?
The project starts from selected design tasks that I explore with different ways of seeking inspiration. Sometimes closer to feeds and inspiration platforms, sometimes closer to immediate surroundings. The results are presented not only as finished designs but together with their traces: Screenshots, notes, sketches, and intermediate stages form a visual cartography of designing. The project is conceived as an experiment and invites viewers to make their own habits of inspiration visible and and to critically question them.
