In my project, I will reinterpret three album covers that are personally significant to me – OK Computer, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, and Crystal Castles (II) – and design a complete vinyl
cover for each, including front, inside, and back. Music has always accompanied me and album covers in particular have further shaped my listening experience. They open up a visual layer that can enhance the mood and message of an album. My motivation was to explore this impact creatively myself and to reinterpret it through illustration. During the process, I learned how to translate musical atmospheres into clear visual worlds and develop my own visual language. The main challenge was respecting the character of the originalswithout copying them, while still finding an independent approach.This project allows me to combine my love for music with my focus on illustration and to reflect anew on the role of cover design in shaping an album’s identity.
