Because death is a controversial topic and is rarely discussed, especially at my age, I have never shared my thoughts about the end of my life – and this need gave rise to my project, which allows me to write down my thoughts.
just in case – when I am no longer here.
A workbook for gently approaching the end of one's own life
In our minds, this topic seems very distant. And yet death can reach us all at any time, regardless of our
age. That is precisely why we should no longer push the topic aside.
As young people, we plan so many things: we imagine our future, think about where we want to be in five years,
whether we want to have children, how we will live – and with whom.
We make plans, even though nobody knows if they will ever come to fruition.
But one thing is for sure: we're all gonna die. Why do we tackle this part of our lives unlike the rest? Why do we
plan anything – except the one thing that's for sure? Avoiding the topic doesn't make it disappear. It just makes things harder for those left behind. We cannot prevent death – but we can decide for ourselves how we deal with it, how we prepare for it, and what we want
to leave behind. With my workbook, I want to encourage young people to gently explore the topic and create guidance for
themselves and their loved ones – just in case.
