I read the sentence: "Your room is a museum of everything you loved".
Where Memories Belong
An interactive spatial installation showing how children's rooms become archives of feelings and stories.
My Master's project is dedicated to the significance of one's own room, from childhood up to the first proper home. I want to take visitors on an emotional journey that demonstrates to them how important a private space can be for one's own development, while simultaneously triggering a wave of nostalgia for their own room back then. A central aspect of the project is the role of the room in identity formation. It is more than just a space; it's a sanctuary, the first place where we can truly be ourselves undisturbed. Ideally, a room should be a place that ofers security and protection amidst the turbulence of life. It is a convergence of our inner self, because we like to fill our own rooms with the things we love, that inspire us, and that tell our story. The project aims to show that these spaces are not just walls but essential anchor points for our psychological well-being and personal development.
